IE2, IE3, IE4 and IE5 are international efficiency classes defined by IEC 60034-30. IE2 is High Efficiency, IE3 is Premium Efficiency, IE4 is Super Premium Efficiency and IE5 is Ultra Premium Efficiency. Higher IE class motors consume less electricity for the same output, reducing your energy bills and carbon footprint. LEDL manufactures motors across all four classes from IE2 to IE5.
A Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) is a type of AC motor that operates at synchronous speed using the principle of magnetic reluctance. LEDL's SynRM motors achieve IE4 and IE5 efficiency levels without permanent magnets, making them cost-effective and highly reliable. They are ideal for variable speed applications when paired with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
Yes. LEDL motors are BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certified and manufactured in ISO 9001:2015 certified facilities. Our motors comply with IS 12615 for efficiency standards and meet all relevant IEC and BIS norms. Certification documents are available on request.
